Difference between Axial Fans and Centrifugal Fans
The common differences between the Axial Fans and Centrifugal Fans.
Working :
Axial Fans:
In the axial flow fan, the blades installed on the rotor circumference are rotated by the motor. When the blade rotates, air is sucked in from one end and pressurized air is discharged from the other end. However, the intake and exhaust directions remain parallel to the central axis of the rotor.
Centrifugal Fans:
Centrifugal fans , air is sucked into the rotating hub as the blades rotate. Due to the eccentric rotor, the air is compressed and discharged radially due to centrifugal action. The direction of the air outlet is perpendicular to the central axis of the rotor.
